Multiple Non-Overlapping RGB-D Sensors for Tracking People
نویسندگان
چکیده
This work presents the development of a surveillance system for monitoring wide area indoor spaces using multiple Kinect c devices. The data from these sensors, configured with the widest possible coverage, is integrated into a single coordinate system using a novel calibration technique for nonoverlapping range sensors. Moving 3D pixels from each Kinect are transformed into a ”plan view” map of activity where the detection and tracking of people is executed. The detection of people is a two step process; data binning and non maxima suppression. The tracking of people is based on the mean-shift algorithm optimized with the prediction step of the Kalman Filter.

People Re-identification in Non-overlapping Field-of-views using Cumulative Brightness Transform Function and Body Segments in Different Color Spaces
Non-overlapping field-of-view (FOV) cameras are used in surveillance system to cover a wider area. Tracking in such systems is generally performed in two distinct steps. In the first step, people are identified and tracked in the FOV of a single camera. In the second step, re-identification of the people is carried out to track them in the whole area under surveillance. Various conventional fea...
متن کاملA Software Architecture for RGB-D People Tracking Based on ROS Framework for a Mobile Robot
This paper describes the software architecture of a distributed multi-people tracking algorithm for mobile platforms equipped with a RGBD sensor. Our approach features an efficient point cloud depth-based clustering, an HOG-like classification to robustly initialize a person tracking and a person classifier with online learning to drive data association. We explain in details how ROS functional...
متن کاملLearning to Detect and Track People in RGBD Data
Introduction People detection and tracking is an important and fundamental component for many robots, interactive systems and intelligent vehicles. Previous works have used cameras and 2D and 3D range finders for this task. In this paper, we present a 3D people detection and tracking approach using RGB-D data. Given the richness of the data, we learn target appearance models for the purpose of ...
متن کاملVisual Object Tracking Based on Cross-Modality Gaussian-Bernoulli Deep Boltzmann Machines with RGB-D Sensors
Visual object tracking technology is one of the key issues in computer vision. In this paper, we propose a visual object tracking algorithm based on cross-modality featuredeep learning using Gaussian-Bernoulli deep Boltzmann machines (DBM) with RGB-D sensors. First, a cross-modality featurelearning network based on aGaussian-Bernoulli DBM is constructed, which can extract cross-modality feature...
متن کاملExtended Object Tracking: Introduction, Overview and Applications
This article provides an elaborate overview of current research in extended object tracking. We provide a clear definition of an extended object and discuss its delimitation to other object types and sensor models. Next, different shape models and possibilities to model the number of measurements are extensively discussed. Subsequently, we give a tutorial introduction to two basic and well used...
